Back through Mississippi to our summer gig in Illinois!

Like two lost souls just floating around on the pond…contemplating life! We’ve made it to our summer destination from Gulf Shores, AL, alive and kicking. Both the Ford diesel and RV ran like the berries and we were super impressed with their performance. I guess a new computer and alternator kicked things up…pulled like it…

The final days outside Branson! (Missouri/Arkansas)

MOO!!! Hey guys, did you miss me?! It was our last day outside Branson, MO and we decided to make one last walking tour on the trails and grounds of the College of the Ozarks. While we anticipated taking advantage of a month long rate, three weeks was well enough in this area.  We were…

Another National Battlefield and some Italian goodness! (Missouri)

We busted out of dodge and headed North for the day. Destination…Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield but not after a stop or two in Springfield, Missouri. We took a quick run through a RV show … nice collection with about six dealers with their inventory. Still drawn to the Keystone Alpine 5vr someday, but not making any…

Carry on….two week countdown! (Missouri)

The Dewey Visitor Center is beautiful and is the start of a walking trail…

H = Hills and Heat! (Missouri)

The lessons we learn….”We’ll take the 80s over the 90s any ole’ day! Darn, it’s hot in southern Missouri!  And we’ve found the hills! We headed toward the Branson area for our next stopover, wanting to be able to sightsee the surroundings, side trip into Arkansas and Springfield, and work on a few mods and more…

Iowa has rolling hills!!!

Left Hannibal, MO last Sunday and it was a sweet setting in the woods. My favorite was the daily visits from the fawns and red headed woodpeckers.  No internet or tv set the stage for healing.  We learned the Casita dance and almost ready to hit the stage…and planned our travels to Iowa, South Dakota…

West of the Mississippi…

Rolled into Mark Twain COE last Sunday with full hook-ups at $12 a day. Nice ride in over the Mississippi! Tuesday already and continuing our stay until this Sunday when we will head toward Des Moines, IA. We are the only ones on the back loop amongst the red headed woodpeckers and cicadas. More than…
