We are on our countdown to take-off from Gulf Shores, Alabama, soon heading out for our summer gig at a COE park.
More on that when we get moved and life arises! Totally beyond excited!!
We continue to be content in this coastal region and days and weeks have gone fast. Both of us managing to stay healthy….only an ache or two, nothing serious to stop our search for new discoveries.
Our newest big draw has been the village of Fairhope, Alabama.
Quaint and always set with a back stage in blooming foliage!
Plenty of museums, quaint shops and lively eateries!
Whether on the back lagoon or cutting across a river…always some fun to be had and plenty to see.
Daytime, evening and nightfall…we feel magic stopping here and there.
Keeping entertained with art and boat festivals and one special performance by a falconer. He surprised us with a hawk, falcon, kastrel and a one eyed blind baby owl. It was a real treat.
The beach stills continues to be one of our biggest draws. Whether digging, building, and just consumed with friendly conversation from residents and visitors, sand between our toes makes us so happy.
My creation :O)
On the river side…
See my little digger….he found a new spot!?
We’ve even got to be here for Leftie’s new arrival, while taking to the state park bike trails…two new babes!
I’ve continued my driftwood collection as with each find I see a new creation, as also seen by many locals.
Storms have been on the minor side for us…one time, we did take cover in a concrete block building. We’ve seen up to 7 or 8 inches of rain at one time…an hour later, it’s gone! Valuables are always packed now when the “watches” are out!
Always time for reflection! I get all excited when I discover a reflection was caught on camera when I didn’t even see it in the midst of snapping a photo.
And trash pick up is never without surprise…wonder what party this floated in from!
This month has been one full of much discussion between Mr. Jer and I. Where we’ve been, how we got here, and what we had expected?
Whether moving spot to spot or living in one area, we still are glad we’re not back to gutting plaster and lathe, crawling in crawl spaces, wearing knee pads, keeping up the landscaping, and any of that other tedious, back-breaking and expensive sticks and bricks maintenance. I’m sure one day we’ll land back on some piece of this earth, maybe not in an RV but right now we’re off to discover a new area and add a few more states to the map!
So until we hit the end of this month’s paid up rent…we’ll keep the umbrella out! Life is good! ~Cozygirl
